Importance of Nutrition
Nutritional deficiencies are responsible for and may contribute to many diseases and illnesses prevalent in our society today. Heart disease, cancer and diabetes have all been shown to have significant nutritional components. Surveys show that 20% of the US population never eat vegetables, and 40% rarely consume fruit or fruit juices. Refined sugar lowers the immune system’s function and interferes with the ability of the white blood cells to destroy harmful bacteria.
When you are rebuilding damaged organs and bodily systems, it may take months to accomplish this task. If you have a body that has not been properly taken care of for a long period of time, it will take more than a day to bring your body back into balance. In some cases, you may need the support of supplements for those organs which have suffered years of degeneration. Also, because of the lack of nutrients in our food, a multi-vitamin may be necessary for a lifetime.
Dietary evaluation, patient history, saliva testing, blood testing, and other tests will allow us to determine which supplements your body needs to perform at its best.
